IP Address Collection & Legal Compliance
We collect IP addresses during upload confirmation as part of our DMCA safe harbor compliance obligations. This data is stored in upload confirmation records and serves as legal evidence that content uploaders acknowledged ownership and rights to their content.
- IP addresses are recorded when sellers confirm uploads for sale
- This data is retained indefinitely as required for legal evidence and DMCA safe harbor protection
- We do not share IP addresses except as required by law, valid legal process, or court order
Reports & Moderation
When users submit reports about content or accounts:
- Reporter email is collected and stored with the report submission
- Report details and outcomes are retained for moderation purposes
- All moderation actions (content removal, warnings, suspensions) are recorded in an admin audit log for accountability and dispute resolution
- Audit log data is retained indefinitely for legal and operational purposes
Data Retention
- Account data: Kept while your account is active
- Purchase history: Kept for legal/tax purposes (typically 7 years)
- Uploaded content: Removed when you delete it or close your account
- Analytics: Aggregated data retained indefinitely; individual data expires
Your Rights
You can:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correct: Update inaccurate information
- Delete: Request account and data deletion
- Export: Get your data in a portable format
